This week we hear the extraordinary story of multi award-winning singer/ songwriter Mark Geary. Having built his life and career in New York he has returned home to Dublin. Mark explains how his chance to live in the States was literally pulled out of a hat, the creation of the infamous Sin-é venue by his brother, befriending U2 and Sinéad O’Connor in New York, as well as opening up for Jeff Buckley, Chrissie Hynde and Joe Strummer.
Mark also tells the incredible story of how he was signed by a shady record label for his first album deal which ended in devastating circumstances. We hear his his secret for winning over any audience as a support act and how he once came to act opposite Christopher Walken.
