This week, Sinead Burke sat down with Jarlath in the London Irish Centre in Camden for conversation like no other conversation featured in this series. Together they sift through the biggest moments in her incredible rise to prominence over the last three years. She tells Jar about the remarkable circumstances that lead to her Ted Talk and how her life changed almost immediately afterwards. She opens up about her stage fright and anxiety just prior to the filming and the four questions she now asks her self before taking on any sort of work.
Jarlath is keen to know how Sinead finds working with the fashion industry at a time when publicity seems to trump actual change. He asks Sinead what are the things that she beats herself up about the most and gets a really unusual answer he wasn’t expecting. What’s it like to deal with Oprah? What exactly is the limit and danger of self-kindness? What can we do to help make the changes Sinead is chasing? It’s all here in a remarkably expansive interview with one of the most influential and stylish Irish women of the last 50 years.

This week, we are delighted to bring you one of the most hilarious and insightful episodes of the series to date. Ireland and Munster Rugby legends Donncha O'Callaghan and Peter Stringer joined Jarlath on stage for a special interview in front of a sold out Sugar Club at the Dublin Podcast Festival.
Donncha and Peter open up about the post-tournament analysis that was devastatingly brutal (28:00) while also giving a fascinating discussion on the evolution of rugby training (23:00), the truth behind 'Pants-Gate' (47:00) and why Paul Kimmage isn't wrong about his thoughts on doping in rugby (53:00).
From Donncha's side-splitting story about how he almost instinctively tackled a runner while out walking with his family (8:00) to the level of scrutiny that modern players are under (44:00) and who was responsible for the two lads being left circling a Cork roundabout (12:00) and much more, this is a rip-roaring and unforgettable conversation with two Irish rugby legends.
To hear the lads' honest thoughts on ROG's potential as future Ireland head coach, how they treated their bodies as their 'business' and much more, become a patron of An Irishman Abroad on patreon.com/irishmanabroad.

This week, Ulster and Ireland rugby legend, Andrew Trimble, joined Jarlath for a rare and fascinating conversation about his life and career.
Andrew opens up about being able to speak freely in interviews since his retirement (4:00), how it feels to move past your physical peak as a professional athlete (31:00) and how bored he became with the median focus upon his religious beliefs (45:00).
From Joe Schmidt's team-building exercises he couldn’t stand (22:00) to avoiding the pitfalls of sectarianism (40:00), Declan Kidney (27:00) and much more, this is as frank and insightful a conversation you will find with one of the true gentlemen of Irish sport.

Marion McKeone doesn’t like talking about herself yet she has already lived one of the most unusual and varied lives imaginable. This week she sat with Jarlath and brought him through the unusual path she took to the USA. A DCU graduate before DCU was even DCU, she went on to study law and qualify as a barrister. She describes a scene in Dublin during the early 80’s that few have focused upon and explains why the misogyny of the time failed to reach her.
Jarlath discovers Marion's tear-away teen years where she went AWOL from a job as the least qualified tennis instructor at an American tennis camp after a prank involving the Soviet flag went wrong. Marion mourns the loss of that carefree America and compares it to today’s regime. We hear how she believes there is every chance Trump will be re-elected and why. Marion talks for the first time about her difficulty in separating her emotions during the #MeToo movement (Patreon Full Length Version Only) and why she still sees hope in the ability of America to re-imagine itself time and time again.

Tanya O'Callaghan assumed her life was going down a path towards working with animals until she discovered the bass at 17 years old. Her inspiring level of determination and devotion to music changed her life and it is the main reason she is so respected in the industry today.
Originally from Mullingar, she now works out of Los Angeles. Her gruelling schedule of touring and recording with some of the world's top acts is head spinning in its intensity. This week she joined Jarlath to reflect on her journey. Tanya explains the personality type that it takes to make it as a professional musician, the incredible work she put in to making it in America and her thoughts on toxic masculinity in the music business.
To hear Tanya's discussion on living in modern America, why she believes Hozier is Ireland's Jeff Buckley, how she handles homesickness and her work as an activist, become a Patron of An Irishman Abroad on www.patreon.com/irishmanabroad.
