Just three years ago former rugby player Shane Horgan lifted the Heineken Cup with Leinster having previously represented both Ireland and the British and Irish Lions. Today Shane is a trainee solicitor in London and he joins Jarlath on the show this week to discuss the path that took him here.

Michael Redmond is best known for his role as Father Stone in Father Ted having also appeared in Brass Eye and Stewart Lee's Comedy Vehicle. Over the last thirty years Michael has made his name on stage as a stand up comic in the UK. This week he talks to Jarlath about what topics he believes should or should not be joked about, how he once quit comedy before returning and starting from scratch, the response to Father Ted in it's early days and how a rain mac gave him comfort on stage.

Today Peter Breen is the PRO for the International Cricket Council in Dubai. And while he was the public relations officer for Leinster Rugby during their journey from rags to riches, this is not strictly an episode about sport. Peter tells the story of how one of Ireland's most legendary sports teams grew from almost nothing to becoming a Goliath over the course of ten years due to hard graft and determination. Just three months ago Pat Shortt was acting alongside Daniel Radcliffe on Broadway and in this week's episode he joined Jarlath live on stage at the Cork Opera House during the Cork Film Festival to discuss the fascinating journey of what has seen him become one of Ireland's comedy legends as well as one of the country's most prolific actors.
Pat tells the story of how he ended up being unable to even book a gig in Dublin while at the same time selling out theatre venues across America and touring around Europe, Africa and Russia in the nineties as part of D'Unbelievables. He also explains his transition to taking serious acting roles which has given him an international name as an actor staring in films such as The Garage, Calvary, The Guard and most recently, Queen and Country as well as West End and Broadway stints with The Cripple of Inishmaan.
Pat opens up about suffering stage fright, becoming part of the 'Broadway family', the process of understanding the physicality of a character as well as discussing how his work ethic and determination has shaped his career.
