This week BBC sports commentator Conor McNamara talks to Jarlath about his journey from Limerick to becoming one of the most recognised voices in BBC sports commentary. Conor discusses requiring a bullet-proof defence to online criticism, remaining unbiased on air, the influence of mob-mentality on the negative behaviour of fans at sporting events, secret tricks of the trade and why he believes Lionel Messi is better than Maradonna and Pelé. Conor also speaks about the attempts made by Premier League referees off the field to obtain sympathy from the commentators, the need for video referees and his other job of being the voice of a well known CBeebies character.
