Paul McGinley: Episode 133

Irish golfing legend and Ryder Cup-winning captain Paul McGinley speaks about his journey from being rejected by many American golfing scholarships before he became one of the world’s most respected motivators in all of sports. Having overcome a serious knee injury in his teens which put an end to his dream of playing Gaelic football, Paul is now part of the Irish sporting hall of fame for masterminding a Ryder Cup win. In this episode he reveals to Jarlath the meticulous nature of his planning for the competition.

Paul also discusses how it feels to earn Rory McIlroy's complete trust, the importance of considerate and detailed leadership, the intrigue of Augusta and the one time in which he felt absolutely unstoppable.
